Student Counselling has prepared a digital study start course HOW TO STUDY for new students.
The study start course consists of 4 modules, and each module consists of materials and assignments that you must read, view, complete or answer. Each module is completed with a module test. You start with module 1 and end with module 4.
Complete the 4 modules of the course and get ready for study start.
What will it be like to start my programme? Can I keep up? And will I make new friends? Maybe you're sitting with those kinds of questions or similar right now. And you're certainly not alone in that.
The first module addresses some of the thoughts and questions you are dealing with right now. And it will also help you take a good first step into the start of your studies and what awaits you at your new programme.
Take module 1: Becoming a student
How do I get good at studying? How do I find a good structure and balance in my study day? With a good and effective study technique, you will get the most out of your efforts. The second module is about how to get off to a good start with the studies themselves, and you will get tips for good study habits and study skills.
Take module 2: Study life and study habits
Why am I here? What (and how) will I learn?
Your study time will develop you both professionally and personally. Have you thought about how you will use it?
In the third module, you will have the opportunity to reflect on your study choice, your motivation, and what competencies you can develop during your time on the programme.
Take module 3: Sustainable motivation
Being part of a collaboration can give you the opportunity to learn the professional material better, motivate you to study and increase your sense of belonging in your programme. Learning in communities is therefore both exciting and developing.
In this module you will get tips for getting started with the good cooperation. And you get to know what "good collaboration" really means in a higher education.
