Niels Bohrs Allé is UCL's largest campus with almost 5,000 students spread over 8 programs located on the outskirts of Odense.

The area is like a small UCL village with everything you could want from an educational institution. Here are exercise rooms, creative workshops, natural science laboratories, a huge ballroom and of course also a Friday bar.

Niels Bohrs Allé has a wide range of different labs associated with the study programmes, which are available to you as a student.

Some of them you book in TimeEdit under the meeting rooms tab. Others can be booked by contacting the responsible teacher.

The library at Niels Bohrs Allé is a shared library for the many study programmes on campus Niels Bohrs Allé. The library is primarily aimed at students at UCL, but you are still allowed to use the library after graduation.

Where is the library located?

You will find the library in the D-wing, and there are two entrances, one opposite the student service and one at the end of the wing. The library spreads over two floors, where the top floor contains, among other things, the latest books and reserved materials. This is also where you will find a librarian who can help you. The library's books are located on both floors. There are both enclosed study rooms and study spaces in the library room on both floors, which you can use around the clock. If you need some books or articles, we can get them from other libraries.

Disabled parking

There is disabled parking at the end of block E and at block A.

Bicycle parking

There is bicycle parking in the basement under all blocks and here there is also the possibility of showering and changing. Bicycles and scooters must be parked in the designated bicycle parking areas to ensure access for others and to avoid blocking fire routes.

UCL wishes to strengthen a good study- and work environment. Therefore we all need a mutual set of rules, that we can help each other to respect.

The policies and rules apply to all students and course participants in UCL.

Policies and rules

UCL wishes to create a healthy and non-smoking environment for all students and staff.

Smoking is prohibited within normal study hours. This applies to all rooms, outdoor areas and vehicles. As a courtesy to UCL neighbours, it is also prohibited to smoke on grounds, which are neighbouring to UCL properties.

Electronic cigarettes, chewing tobacco and other nicotine products are covered by the same rules as regular smoking.

Smoking may be allowed at UCL locations, when Friday bar or other student activities take place outside of normal study hours. However, students must always follow the guidelines, which have been sent out along with the announcement of the event as well as local signs, which have been put up in connection with the activity.

Upon request UCL gives information about available “Stop smoking”-courses

To help you get the most out of your stay with us, we have collected some information about student life on Niels Bohrs Allé.

Friday Bar

The Friday bar on Niels Bohrs Allé is called "Grotten". Despite the name, the rooms are bright and friendly with large glass sections, and you will find under the ramp to the main entrance. Here there is a buzz of life when the students let loose on Fridays. This is also where you can find Shrovetide bar, Disney quiz, Beerpong tournaments and much more. As an added bonus, you can use the large rooms for student work during the week.

In "Grotten" volunteers are behind the bar, and they come from all educations at Niels Bohrs Allé. Even the board consists only of liberal students.

If you're interested in seeing more or maybe even signing up under the tabs as a volunteer, you can find them on Facebook.

UCL FC

UCL FC is UCL's very own football team for both men and women. The men play in series 3 and the women 7 men.

It is a social and cozy club, which is primarily intended for students at UCL, but there is room for everyone, even if you are not from UCL and do not have great football skills.

UCL FC is about being physically active in fun and creative settings, and about meeting across studies and year groups.

They train every Tuesday and Thursday from 18.00-19.30.

There's always room for new players, so find them on Facebook.
