The campus on Boulevarden in Vejle is located in the educational hub of the city. This makes it easier for us to foster a great study environment with better opportunities for you to interact with other students and work interdisciplinary.
Boulevarden has different labs associated with the various programmes, which are available for you as a student. Here you can get an overview of the largest and most current labs.
The chemical and microbiological laboratory is used, among other things, for microbiological examination of food as well as for chemical analyses of food and other products.
The chemistry laboratory contains general chemical equipment as well as gas, fume cupboards and extraction.
The laboratory is used for both class teaching and project room for groups of students.
Teachers and students have access with admission card. However, the safety rules must be known to all users, as among other things, corrosive chemicals are available. Contact person is lecturer Lisbeth Skjøde Jespersen, who can be contacted by mail lsje@ucl.dk.
The kitchen is intended for cooking. In addition to the usual kitchenware as well as refrigerators and freezers, it includes a thermomixer and dryers.
The room is used for both class teaching and project room for groups of students in the process technologist programme.
For final projects where the final examination cannot be carried out practically at work, the kitchen is used for this.
The kitchen is regularly lent out to social events for employees and students.
As a student, you have access with an admission card.
Contact person is lecturer Lisbeth Skjøde Jespersen, who can be contacted by mail lsje@ucl.dk.
The process hall contains a number of pilot plants, i.e. small-scale industrial equipment. There are e.g. fermenters, ultrafiltration systems, scratch heat exchangers, pasteurization systems, freeze dryer, autoclave and vacuum cooker. The installations are designed for control and regulation.
The room is used for both class teaching and project room for groups of students in the process technologist programme.
The process hall cannot be used without previous knowledge. There are computer logs, and one could well imagine a collaboration with IT programmes working with management and regulation.

The library at Vestre Engvej is a joint library for students at UCL's programmes in Vejle. This include all the vocational training here on Boulevarden and the social worker and nurse training at Vestre Engvej.
At the library you will find books and literature that are targeted at these programmes. You can reserve books at bib.ucl.dk (The UCL Library database). Or the books can be loaned from other libraries in Denmark.
The library at Vestre Engvej is on the first floor and is a modern learning environment. You can look forward to spending some time in the library - both to loan literature, but also to participate in study group work. In the library there are study workplaces, so you and your fellow students can meet to discuss and/or write assignments.
The UCL Library presents you with an overview of some of the relevant databases and websites within your area of education.

The policies and rules apply to all students and course participants in UCL.
UCL wishes to create a healthy and non-smoking environment for all students and staff.
Smoking is prohibited within normal study hours. This applies to all rooms, outdoor areas and vehicles. As a courtesy to UCL neighbours, it is also prohibited to smoke on grounds, which are neighbouring to UCL properties.
Electronic cigarettes, chewing tobacco and other nicotine products are covered by the same rules as regular smoking.
Smoking may be allowed at UCL locations, when Friday bar or other student activities take place outside of normal study hours. However, students must always follow the guidelines, which have been sent out along with the announcement of the event as well as local signs, which have been put up in connection with the activity.
Upon request UCL gives information about available “Stop smoking”-courses
To help you get the most out of your stay with us, we have collected some information about student life on Boulevarden together with information about the student life outside of UCL.
As a new student in Vejle, it can be a huge advantage to jump on UCL's Vejle Walk. It is an event that is repeated at each semester start and is aimed at all UCL students. The tour goes around Vejle mid-town and has strategic breaks at Vejle Street food and Old Irish Pub on the harbour, respectively.
Vejle Walk is of course an obvious offer for newcomer students, but everybody is welcome to enjoy a nice walk with other students from UCL.
SPOT is the Friday bar, where students at Boulevarden go to relax and talk about the week over a cold beverage. This is also where they go for international beer tasting, standup, Halloween party, FIFA tournament or one of the many other different events that SPOT arrange.
Find them on Facebook if you're interested in knowing more.
